Dr. Moreno’s treatment approach is very thorough and personalized. You will be requested to have the past educational records, past medical records and past psychological or psychiatric records available for review if relevant. Dr. Moreno may recommend lab studies, or referrals to other providers, as appropriate, so that any complications may be further addressed. Psychiatric treatment usually includes medication, psychotherapy or both.
How can treatment help my child?
There are a variety of challenges that your child may be experiencing that can be treated by a skilled Psychiatrist ranging from anxiety, to not being able to pay attention in school, to depression. If you have observed abnormal behavor in your child such as refusing to go to school, being easily distrated, persistent sadness, boredom, changing eating patterns, extreme moodiness, delayed language development, sensory problems, problems expressing emotions, difficulty interacting with peers or confused thinking, a consultation with Dr. Moreno is highly encouraged to diagnose and then treat your child’s condition.
Dr. Moreno will obtain consents for speaking to the school, therapists, pediatrician and others who may have important information to contribute to the evaluation and treatment process.
